Final Goods Inspector

Location: Columbus, Georgia
Position Type: Full Time

Summary:

The Final Inspector is responsible of ensuring that only high-quality products will be delivered to the customer. He/she will perform all necessary testing on manufactured weapons before releasing them for shipment. The final inspector will also lead, monitor, train and consult a team of warehouse personnel responsible for the outgoing inspection.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform all necessary inspections on manufactured pistols and rifles including
    1. Proof firing
    2. Functional firing
    3. Accuracy firing
    4. Gaging
  • Make decisions on non-conforming parts/guns
  • Address issues and support in the process of identifying and eliminating the cause
  • Develop new testing methods for final inspection
  • Creation of inspection and control plans
  • Creation of quality reports

  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Ability to handle stress of deadlines and constantly changing priorities
  • Must have a good physical endurance
  • Knowledgeable in control and inspection plans, AQL
  • Skilled in the use of inspection and measuring equipment
  • Must possess reasonable computer skills (MS Work, Excel, PowerPoint, CAQ)

Education and Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferable in the quality department
  • An Associate degree in a technical field
  • Experience in handling and shooting of firearms
  • Experience in CAQ programs
  • Experience in part and gage inspections
  • 5S experience
